Megan walked to the stage to sing the two tracks, after receiving the trophy for Top Rap Female Artist earlier in the evening. She began the performance alone on the platform, but later in the short set, she was joined by dancers.

Due to her ongoing ‘Future Nostalgia’ tour, Lipa was unable to accompany the rapper for the performance.

The majority of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards  were given out during a TikTok pre-show livestream. Olivia Rodrigo and Ye lead the winners with six trophies each going into the ceremony.

The Weeknd received the most nominations at the BBMAs 2022, with 17, followed by Doja Cat with 14. She took home the trophy for Top R&B Artist as the first award of the main ceremony.

Before Silk Sonic brought a cover of Con Funk Shun’s ‘Love’s Train’ to Vegas, Diddy began the awards show with the support of Bryson Tiller, Jack Harlow and Teyana Taylor. With a performance of ‘Big Energy,’ Latto made her first appearance at the awards show.

Other artists performing tonight include Machine Gun Kelly, Florence + The Machine, Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy and others. Travis Scott will also make his first significant public appearance since the tragic crowd crush at last year’s Astroworld Festival during his headline set. The tragedy claimed the lives of ten people and injured many more, according to a recent filing.

Morgan Wallen’s performance was dubbed “tone deaf” by spectators after he took the stage shortly after messages promoting social justice and anti-racism.
