Meghan Markle’s Classmate Shares Throwback Photo of Her Dancing

Meghan Markle’s recent salsa dancing in Colombia captivated the internet, not just for her impressive moves but also due to a nostalgic throwback photo shared by one of her college friends.

The Duchess of Sussex has amazed fans with her salsa skills during her South American trip. Adding to the excitement, Iris Amador, a former Northwestern University classmate, posted an old photo of Meghan on social media. The picture, taken during their college days, shows Meghan in a black turtleneck and jeans at a salsa class.

Meghan, who graduated from Northwestern in 2003 with a double major in theatre and international studies, is seen in the photo as a young student with a passion for dance. The outfit in the throwback is reminiscent of one she wore in a 2021 holiday card with Prince Harry and their children.

Amador, who graduated a year before Meghan, shared the photo with a caption reflecting on their salsa lessons together. She wrote, “Salsa lessons with the then future-to-be #DuchessOfSussex, in college,” and added in Spanish, translated to English: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Colombia, including #Cali, the world capital of salsa – music and dance that Meghan Markle likes, with whom we shared salsa classes at university.”
