The MET Gala 2021 aka the biggest night in the fashion world this year took place on Monday(Sep 13) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Celebrating ‘American Fashion’ as the theme, the event saw a myriad of guests who set the red carpet on fire with their style statements. Read on to find out more about the big night.

Though typically held in May each year, the MET Gala was postponed this time round due to the pandemic and was conducted in September instead. The extra months in hand seemed to have worked well for the guests for they turned up in the most exceptional ensembles for the event and walked the red carpet like they owned it.

 For the 2021 Met gala, Gen Z members, Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka cochaired the affair, while Tom Ford, Instagram’s Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour served as the honorary chairs. Actor and recording artist Keke Palmer, and actor, writer, and director Ilana Glazer were the hosts of the event which was officially livestreamed for the first time ever.
