Metallica Mondays, a Throwback To “Load”
Metallica is back with yet another Metallica Monday, taking us back to 1997 with their “Load” album. As we all wait for the lockdown to end and live shows to start again, we are blessed with online concerts. The band streamed the January 2nd, 1997 show in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Metallica uploaded their historic album “Load” via Facebook and Youtube page on Monday 8 pm EST/5 pm PST, following which now, it will be on-demand for the remainder of the week.
The show is a part of “Pour Touring Me” that featured the band, Korn. It includes two encores with a total of 20 songs, kicking it off with Utah Jazz and Karl Malone out of the Delta Center.
Last week, Metallica streamed of 2014 “By Request” Peru Show, where the band played any song that the audience wanted. This week is a total throwback as we will get to see the members of the band in amazing attires.
The video started with a message “On a day like this, our thoughts are with our worldwide Metallica family in these challenging times. Please look after yourselves and one another. We are so very saddened by the unfolding events. Please respect and be kind to your fellow humans, take care and we love and miss you.”
The band played “So What” as their opening song and closed the show with “Motorbreath.” The stream is such a treat for the fans as the band no longer plays many of the songs from the Metallica album.
