Metallica Teases New Music: S&M2

Lead singer of Rock Metal group Metallica, James Hetfield teased the release of new music from the band in an audio clip that he posted on his social media.

In the audio, the singer says, “Hey! This is James from Metallica.Tune in on Wednesday to hear new Metallica music from S&M2!”

The Instagram story featured a photo of him with the sound byte. According to the announcement made by the vocalist, the S&M2 trailer which went live on the group’s Youtube channel on Wednesday, July 15 at 9 am EDT.

The rock-metal band released their live album ‘S&M’ 20 years ago with The San Fransisco Symphony. The group celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the record with two concerts on September 6 and 8 at the Chase Center in San Fransisco, California. These shows featured new renditions of tracks from the album (S&M) as well as performances of newer releases.

The film, S&M2, which is a documentary of the shows. It was released in 3000 theatres all around the globe for one night only on October 19th, 2019 and gained large success.

Last month, Metallica drummer appeared as a guest on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live and made a statement on the release of the ‘S&M2’ box set which was due to be released in August. “This is our next release called S&M2, which is coming up in August,” said the drummer.

No exact date for the release of S&M2 has been announced yet. However, the video on Metallica’s YouTube channel has a video which just dropped is titled “Metallica & San Francisco Symphony: All Within My Hands (Live).” The caption of the video says, “The concert event of the year finally comes home this summer.”   

While we don’t know what lies ahead for the group but they guarantee new music for their fans.
