Michael B. Jordan Reunites with Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler, Portrays Twins in Gripping ‘Sinners’ Trailer

Michael B. Jordan teams up once again with ‘Black Panther’ director Ryan Coogler for their latest project.

Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for ‘Sinners’, featuring Jordan, 37, in a dual role as twin brothers who face an evil force in their hometown.

The official synopsis describes ‘Sinners’ as “a new vision of fear” and includes a chilling line from the teaser: “You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.” The story follows the twin brothers as they try to escape their troubled past but soon realize a darker force is waiting for them when they return home.

Media first reported on  ‘Sinners’ in January 2024, when The Hollywood Reporter revealed Coogler had written the then-untitled film, marking his first original screenplay since 2013’s ‘Fruitvale Station’, which also starred Jordan. The title was officially announced by Warner Bros. on 23 September  with the teaser message, “Sinners are coming.”

This film marks Coogler’s first since ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ in 2022, and is another high-profile collaboration between him and Jordan, who played Adonis Creed in Coogler’s 2015 ‘Creed’ and Killmonger in 2018’s ‘Black Panther’.

The trailer offers a glimpse of Hailee Steinfeld, 27, in a brief scene, marking her return to the big screen after her cameo in Marvel’s ‘The Marvels’ (2023).  ‘Sinners’ also stars Delroy Lindo and Jack O’Connell and is set to release in theatres on 7th March 2025.
