Michael Jackson Biopic Could Be Split Into Two Films

The next Michael Jackson biopic may be released in two parts.
Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson plays the lead in the movie, which attempts to document the King of Pop’s life and career. Sources close to the project claim that because of the film’s lengthy duration—which is presently approaching four hours—director Antoine Fuqua and Lionsgate execs are thinking about dividing it into two parts.
The long cut indicates that the filmmakers want to include as much of Jackson’s story as possible, even though the decision has not been made yet. Although the premiere date may change if the split occurs, the movie is still set for 3rd October release in the US. There is currently no confirmed date for a worldwide release.

Only a small number of individuals saw the film’s initial trailer at CinemaCon in April, and details about it have been kept under wraps. Although the video has not yet been made public, it apparently elicited favorable responses.
The entire third act had to be reshot earlier this year, which was a setback for the production. According to reports, this scene initially showed claims of sexual abuse against Jackson, a subject that his estate has forbidden to be used in the movie.
The filmmaker of the documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’, which concentrated on Jackson’s alleged abuse, Dan Reed, has already criticized the biography. Reed has denounced the movie, saying it will exalt a man who has been charged with grave crimes.
Miles Teller plays Jackson’s manager, John Branca, and Colman Domingo plays Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson. Kendrick Sampson will play the part of renowned producer Quincy Jones, and Kat Graham will play Diana Ross.
