'Mickey 17' Trailer: Robert Pattinson Stars in Sci-Fi Film by ‘Parasite’ Director Bong Joon Ho

Bong Joon Ho, the Oscar-winning director known for ‘Parasite’ and ‘Snowpiercer’, is back with a new film, ‘Mickey 17’. The first trailer reveals a gripping glimpse of the movie, featuring Robert

Pattinson in a dramatic scene where he hears, "It was nice knowing ya. Have a nice death. See ya tomorrow."

‘Mickey 17’ is adapted from Edward Ashton's 2022 novel ‘Mickey 7’ and boasts a star-studded cast including Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. Pattinson’s involvement in the project was revealed during his surprise appearance at CinemaCon, where he expressed his admiration for Bong Joon Ho.

"I've been the biggest fan of Bong for many, many years; he's my hero," Pattinson stated at the event, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I got sent the script; I was told, 'You're gonna love the script, but the part is impossible.' That was very, very exciting to me. I thought it was the most unusual, bizarre, funny script."

Pattinson is particularly thrilled about his role in the film, describing it as a chance to play "two very fun characters." He elaborated on his character, ‘Mickey 17’, noting that he starts with the lowest expectations in life and endures a job that torments him daily.

With the introduction of Mickey 18, who suffers from frontal lobe damage and a loss of self-control, Pattinson compares the role to "playing an evil brother or twin."

With its unique premise and talented cast, ‘Mickey 17’ is set to offer an intriguing blend of science fiction and dark humour, continuing Bong Joon Ho’s legacy of innovative storytelling.
