Once more, Millie Bobby Brown has taken aim at tabloids for their unfavourable portrayal of her looks.
The 21-year-old ‘Stranger Things’ actress recently responded to many tabloids, including the Daily Mail, which asked why Gen Z stars like her seem to be "ageing badly." "I refuse to apologise for growing up or changing myself to meet unrealistic societal expectations," she said in response to the criticism on Instagram. She urged for a more positive approach, not only for herself but for other young women, calling out the propensity to criticise rather than to encourage.
She once more voiced her displeasure with the media's emphasis on her appearance and voice in a recent ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast episode. The media often remarks on how much older she looks and how her British accent has altered over the years, she said.

Although she stressed that growing up is a normal process, she realized that people may view her differently because they first saw her on ‘Stranger Things’ as a child. She no longer tries to alter herself to appease others since she is content with who she is, even after years of public scrutiny.
Brown also revealed a little-known truth about herself in the same interview: her real name is Millie Bonnie Brown. This disclosure was made as she and co-star Chris Pratt were promoting their new film, ‘The Electric State’. An orphaned adolescent is followed as she travels throughout the American West with a robot and a drifter in search of her younger brother in this alternate future movie.
On 14th March, OTT will begin streaming ‘The Electric State’.
