New ‘Ghostbusters’ Animated Movie is in Development

With an animated film in the works, the ‘Ghostbusters’ franchise is preparing for an exciting new chapter. In order to provide fans with a new perspective on the renowned universe, two popular productions are working together to expand the cherished series. Although the animated movie’s plot is yet unknown, Kris Pearn will undoubtedly serve as its director. Pearn brings a plethora of expertise to the table, having worked on ‘The Willoughbys’ and’ Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2’. The future film has not yet been given a release date.

OTT’s participation in the project brings back memories of the animated past of the franchise, especially ‘The Real Ghostbusters’, a beloved series that previously enthralled viewers. The original ‘Ghostbusters’ team, which included Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore, launched the franchise, which has since expanded into a cultural phenomenon with spin-offs, series, and sequels.

Despite fierce competition, recent entries like ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’, which featured new characters to carry on the tradition, made $200 million worldwide.

In addition to the animated movie, an animated TV show based on the ‘Ghostbusters’ universe is being developed. Fans can’t wait to find out which project—the movie or the series—will be released first. To maintain the momentum of the franchise, ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ is currently accessible for watching.
