New Trailer Released for Cypress Hill Documentary
A new trailer for the impending Cypress Hill documentary has been released. ‘Cypress Hill: Insane In The Brain’, a documentary about the group’s long-lasting influence on hip-hop and culture, will be released on 20th April.
The documentary directed by Estevan Oriol commences with B-Real peering through a film with a microscope. “Somewhere in here, there is Cypress Hill,” he says adding: “I never thought we’d be making history.”
The film includes rare archival footage and photographs of the band – which originally consisted of B-Real, Sen Dog, Eric Bobo, and DJ Muggs – from their humble beginnings, when they performed in front of 16 people, to their peak, when they performed in front of over 150,000 people.
Speaking about the film in January, Sen Dog said: “We were proud hip-hoppers back in the day and we’ve gone through it all. We’re proud to be part of the hip-hop industry. Doing a straight hip-hop joint was the way to go.”

Cypress Hill announced in March that the album that follows their next will be their “final traditional” LP.
“The next album after this one will be the final traditional Cypress Hill album,” B-Real told The Independent. “After that, we’re gonna still make music. We’re not not gonna stop, not for nothing, but we want to change up the experience.”
Last month, the band released their tenth studio album, ‘Back In Black.’ In August last year, the band commemorated the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album by releasing an Expanded Edition of the iconic record with three new bonus tracks. The band will then join Slipknot on the second leg of their recently announced Knotfest Roadshow tour, which will take place in May and June across the United States and Canada.
