Niall Horan’s ‘The Show’ Debuts at No. 1 In The U.K.

‘The Show’ (via Capitol) debuts at No. 1 in the United Kingdom, and Niall Horan couldn’t be happier!

Following 2020’s ‘Heartbreak Weather’, the Irishman’s third studio album is his second number one and third consecutive top-three effort. His debut solo album, 2017’s ‘Flicker’, reached number three. ‘The Show ‘ends the week as the best-selling record on wax after dominating the midweek all-genres list.

‘The Show’ is the sixth leader by a former member of One Direction, according to the Official Charts Company, joining Zayn’s ‘Mind of Mine’ from 2016, Harry Styles’ eponymously-titled debut from 2017, ‘Harry’s House’ from 2022, Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Faith in the Future’ from 2022 and Niall Horan’s brace.

Horan achieved four U.K. No. 1 albums and the same number of leaders on the national singles survey when he was a member of 1D. ‘The Show’ by Horan is also at the top of the ARIA Chart in Australia and ranks No. 2 on the Billboard 200, just behind Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’.

McFly’s ‘Power to Play’ (BMG) debuted at No. 2 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, which was released on 16th June. The seventh studio album by the seasoned pop-punk band is also their seventh top 10.

‘James’, a Manchester-based band from the Britpop period, rounds off a brand-new top 3 with ‘Be Opened by the Wonderful (Nothing But Love Music)’. It’s the “Laid” group’s 11th top 10 appearance on the albums chart.

The No. 7 entry into the top 10 is Paranoia, Angels, ‘True Love (Because Music)’ by Christine and the Queens. Following 2016’s debut ‘Chaleur humaine’ at No. 2 and 2018’s ‘Chris’ at No. 3, this is the French alternative pop group’s third top 10 position.

Last but not the least, Vermont-born musician Noah Kahan debuts in the top 40 with ‘Stick Season (Island)’ at No. 17, while King Krule (real name: Archy Ivan Marshall), a musician, rapper and producer from London, debuts at No. 18 and earns his third top 40 album.
