Nicholas Sparks Reveals Miley Cyrus' “Incredible Talent” on ‘The Last Song’ Set

Nicholas Sparks has worked with many talented actors, but one standout for him was Miley Cyrus. The author, known for his popular book-to-film adaptations, fondly remembers being surprised by Cyrus’ talent on the set of ‘The Last Song’.

In an interview, Sparks recalled a moment when Cyrus had to play the piano for a scene. He was stunned by how quickly she picked it up. “I didn’t know you could play the piano,” he told her.

Sparks praised Cyrus’ dedication and musical talent, noting her strong work ethic. “She’s incredibly skilled and talented, and she works very hard at music,” he said. At the time, Cyrus had just been honoured as the youngest Disney Legend, showcasing her already significant achievements.

Sparks highlighted how young talents like Cyrus can surprise people with their abilities, comparing her skills to Olympic-level performances. Her dedication to both music and acting was clear on set, as she worked hard to show off her acting chops alongside her musical skills.

Cyrus, already a global star from ‘Hannah Montana’, was eager to prove her acting ability in ‘The Last Song’. 

Sparks, who co-wrote the screenplay, noted that she wanted the film to focus on her acting, with music taking a backseat.
