Nicki Minaj Announces The Release Date For Her Latest Album

Nicki Minaj announced the arrival of her first album in five years and provided a tentative release date. She tweeted “10/20/23 The Album,” along with emojis of a CD and a pink bow.

Five years after the release of 2018’s ‘Queen’, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, Minaj will release her fifth studio album. ‘Pink Friday’ (2010), ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ (2012) and ‘The Pinkprint’ (2014), the remaining three of her studio albums, have all peaked in the top five on the all-genre albums chart, with ‘Pink Friday’ and ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ debuting at No. 1.

Her forthcoming album, which has not yet been given a name, may be her first official release through her own record company, ‘Heavy On It’, which she introduced earlier this year on her ‘Queen Radio’ show.

Her contribution to Sexyy Redd and Tay Keith’s ‘Pound Town 2,’ which debuted at No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week ending 10th June, secured Minaj her 130th entry on the all-genre songs tally. When the Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj ‘Princess Diana’ remix was released at No. 4 in April, it gave the rapper her 22nd top 10 hit. This year, she also worked on songs like ‘WTF’ and ‘Alone’ with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Her lone solo record for 2023, ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze,’ peaked at No. 13 on the Hot 100.

She’ll also be featured on the forthcoming star-studded soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’, which has a theatrical release date set for 21st July.
