Nicki Minaj Cancels Pink Friday 2 Deluxe, Announces ‘New Pink Friday 3’ Album

Nicki Minaj recently took to social media platform X to share a significant update with her fans. In a lengthy post, the rapper announced she was scrapping plans for a deluxe edition of ‘Pink Friday 2’ and instead focusing on releasing a brand-new album, Pink Friday 3. This new album will include material originally meant for the deluxe version as well as fresh tracks.

"Instead of doing a DELUXE to Pink Friday 2, I’ve decided to do a brand new album," Minaj explained. She also mentioned that songs like "#Mamita" and the "anxiety" song will still feature during her ongoing tour. She promised to announce the new release date for Pink Friday 3 in the coming weeks, exciting fans with the prospect of even more music.

Minaj revealed her decision came from a desire to do justice to the quality of her new work. "The new music is just too good to be thrown away on a deluxe album," she stated. She expressed how the songs she recorded recently felt too "iconic" to simply add to an existing project, preferring to create a separate album instead.

The rapper also reassured fans that she would still offer something special leading up to the announcement. She shared her deep connection to ‘Pink Friday 2’, especially as it marked a significant moment in her life as a mother.
