Nicki Minaj Shares a Video Teaser For Her Single, ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze’ 

It’s a good day for all Nicki Minaj fans! She shared a video teaser for her latest single, ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze’ on her Instagram account. She wore a strappy black swimsuit in the teaser video. Another footage shows her wearing a ‘red ruby’ coloured silk robe, which she then takes off to show her bathing suit. The singer is seen ferociously rapping on the top of a deck that overlooks the ocean. 

There are not many details about the music video other than the fact that it was filmed in her home island of Trinidad and Tobago when she was there for the island’s 2023 Carnival festivities. The song debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The rapper has interpolated Lumidee’s ‘Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)’ which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003. This is also what she did to her 2022 Hot 100 No. 1 hit ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ which sampled Rick James’ 1981 song ‘Super Freak.’

Minaj ranked at No. 7 on the recent list of 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time that Billboard released. She also made it to Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars of 2022 at No. 10. Apart from this, she also won Billboard’s inaugural Power Artist 2022 – Fan Choice bracket, where fans chose her from 32 artists who were considered to have made the biggest impact on Billboard’s 2022 year-end charts.
