Nicki Minaj Turns Heads in Chic Thom Browne Suit-Dress at the 2025 Met Gala
The 2025 Met Gala is, as usual, a star-studded affair!
Nicki Minaj brought her signature flair to the 2025 Met Gala, putting a bold spin on the night’s theme with a powerful, sculpted look that perfectly blended sophistication and edge.
According to Vogue, the rapper made a spectacular arrival at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City while sporting a beautiful Thom Browne outfit.
For the 2025 Met Gala, her outfit, a fitted pinstripe suit-dress, including a mermaid-style skirt with a finer pinstripe design, a wide neckline, and strong white stripes across the bodice. Classic tailoring and theatrical grandeur were flawlessly combined with an elaborate cascade of ruffled floral embellishments that fell down her back from her right shoulder, adding dimension and drama.
A striking gold tiara completed Minaj’s voluminous curly updo, giving her appearance a royal touch. She paired her structured ensemble with playful accents, opting for a soft, glowing makeup look that featured a subtle smoky eye and nude lips. To finish it off, a bold pop of colour came through with her vibrant blue nails, adding just the right touch of flair.

Through the lens of tailoring, the 2025 Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” honoured the artistic and cultural heritage of Black fashion. Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, the event took place in conjunction with the spring exhibition of the same name at the Metropolitan Museum. The exhibit examines the idea of Black dandy as an aesthetic and a cultural symbol, following its impact from the 18th century to the present, according to curator Andrew Bolton.
The dress code, which placed a strong emphasis on structure and suits, prompted visitors to consider fashion that was influenced by masculinity. Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour co-chaired this year’s event, with LeBron James serving as guest chair.

Minaj made her ninth appearance at the 2025 Met Gala. She had worn a special yellow Marni minidress by Francesco Risso just a year earlier, embracing the “Garden of Time” concept. She accessorised the sculpted fit-and-flare ensemble with gigantic blossoms and three-dimensional flowers, as well as a matching chain-strap bag, pointed yellow heels, and a set of press-on nails from her own line, Pink Friday Nails.
