Nicki Minaj’s New Album Delayed Until Her Birthday

Nicki Minaj recently took to Instagram to share some bittersweet news with her fans. Her highly anticipated album, ‘Pink Friday 2,’ has been delayed once again. Originally scheduled for release on 20th October, it was first postponed to 17th November. Now, Nicki has announced a new release date of 8th December. This delay, she explained, is to coincide with her 41st birthday, making it a special gift to herself and her fans.

The decision to push back the album release has drawn attention, as Nicki Minaj revealed her motivation behind it. Lil Wayne, a close friend and mentor in her career, along with 2 Chainz, is set to release their joint album on 17th November. Nicki expressed her desire to avoid a clash with their release, emphasizing that Lil Wayne would never choose the same album release date if it were her album.

In her Instagram post, Nicki Minaj hinted at the significance of ‘Pink Friday 2,’ describing it as her “greatest gift to humanity” thus far. She went on to express her enthusiasm for the project, claiming it to be her favourite work to date. This album has been in the making for five years, and it is clear that she has poured her heart and soul into it.

Nicki shared that the initial postponement didn’t have an explanation. However, to compensate for the delay, she released a surprise standalone track, ‘Bahm Bahm,’ as a gift to her loyal fans. But this track will not be included in the album’s official tracklist.

She clarified that ‘Bahm Bahm’ is not a single but a “limited time FREE website release as a gift to my core fans & everyone who cared enough to participate.” Nicki Minaj expressed her gratitude to her fans for helping make it an iconic release.

The delay of ‘Pink Friday 2’ was attributed to Nicki’s writer’s block during her pregnancy, which led her to rethink the album’s content. She mentioned her decision not to include “freaky” elements in the album.

In the end, Nicki Minaj assured her fans that ‘Pink Friday 2’ would be worth the wait. She described it as the “biggest gift” she has ever given to humanity and a project that will make people “fall in love immediately.” 

She also shared news about a new fragrance, ‘Pink Friday 2,’ set to launch on 13th and 26th December, making the holiday season even more exciting for her fans.
