On Her Super Energetic New Song ‘Grrrls,’ Lizzo Toasts To Female Friendships
Lizzo has returned with a new single off her upcoming album, ‘Grrrls,’ which you can listen to below. The singer is getting ready to release her fourth album, ‘Special,’ on 15th July. It’s the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Cuz I Love You,’ and the track ‘About Damn Time’ served as a teaser.
The Max Martin-produced song pays tribute to female camaraderie, with Lizzo singing, that they are CEO’S and dancing like C-E-Hoe’s. Lizzo’s life will also be the subject of a new documentary, which will focus on the singer and rapper’s life and rise to fame.

Lizzo described the album as ‘one of the most musically badass, brave and complex bodies of work she has done to date’ and claimed she was surprised that it is a ‘love album’ in an interview with Variety earlier this year. Doug Pray, executive producer of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s 2018 documentary series ‘The Defiant Ones’, is directing the untitled film, which was introduced at an HBO Max event last month on 18th May.
Lizzo recently announced a massive North American stadium tour for later this year.
