Paris Hilton Collaborated With Kim Petras For ‘Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)’

Paris Hilton, a renowned socialite and a key 2000s ‘It Girl’, made her Billboard Hot 100 debut with ‘Stars Are Blind’ 17 years ago. The song premiered and peaked at No. 18 on the list, serving as both her first single and the lead single for her self-titled debut studio album. This helped create the groundwork for its parent album’s No. 6 peak on the Billboard 200.

Paris has unexpectedly released a new rendition of her first song titled ‘Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version).’ Kim Petras, one of the vocalists behind the historic Hot 100 No. 1 single ‘Unholy’ (with Sam Smith), is included in the brand-new duet. The new remix is expected to be included in the set list of Hilton’s upcoming Fonda Theatre performance, which is appropriately titled ‘Paris Hilton: Live in Concert’. The show sold out in less than three minutes. ‘Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)’ also marks the official debut of the new music division of 11:11 Media, Hilton’s next-gen media company.

Even though this remix only became available on streaming sites tonight, Petras and Hilton have crossed musical paths before. Petras sang ‘Stars Are Blind’ as part of a webcast for the Stonewall Gives Back initiative. “This is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite people, Paris Hilton,” she said before her performance. I know it always makes me smile, so I thought I’d give it a try.”

The boundary-breaking German pop diva Kim Petras has worked on a number of high-profile projects, with her presence in ‘Stars Are Blind’ being the most recent. Kim also worked with Sam Smith on ‘Unholy,’ which won a Grammy last year, and worked with Nicki Minaj for ‘Alone,’ the lead track from her upcoming debut studio album. On the Hot 100 chart, ‘Alone’ debuted and peaked at No. 55. Her first studio album, ‘Feed the Beast’, is also set to release soon.
