Pax Jolie Honors Mom Angelina With Standing Ovation at TIFF 'Without Blood' Premiere

Angelina Jolie continued her stunning red-carpet appearances at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) where she attended the world premiere of her latest directorial project, ‘Without Blood’. The 49-year-old actress wowed in a sleek black silk Dolce & Gabbana gown with ruching at the bottom, paired with elbow-length opera-style silk gloves that gave the ensemble a touch of old Hollywood glamour. Jolie kept her accessories minimal, opting for no jewellery, and parted her long blonde hair down the middle to let the classic gown shine.

Jolie was accompanied by her 20-year-old son, Pax, who recently recovered from an e-bike accident in July. Dressed in a black suit and tie, Pax sported dark shades and had a visible scar on his forehead but appeared in good spirits. He even joined the audience in giving his mother and the film’s cast a standing ovation. Pax, who worked on ‘Without Blood’ as part of the assistant director team, proudly supported his mother at the event.

 ‘Without Blood’ is described as a "parable-like tale of family, war, and revenge," and stars Salma Hayek, Demián Bichir, and Juan Minujín. The film was shot at Rome's iconic Cinecittà Studios.

Before TIFF, Jolie also made waves at the Venice Film Festival, attending the premiere of her biographical drama ‘Maria’. She arrived in Italy dressed in a chic khaki trench coat and navy pants, followed by a glamorous appearance in a brown silk Saint Laurent dress. On the red carpet, she dazzled in a custom beige Tamara Ralph gown with a fur stole, sleek hair, and bold red lipstick.

One standout accessory at the Venice premiere was a Cartier brooch once owned by Maria Callas, the legendary opera singer whom Jolie portrays in ‘Maria’. The brooch, a 1972 Rose Ouvrante adorned with diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and rubies, has a unique mechanism that allows its petals to open and close, which Jolie wore both in the film and on the red carpet. She shared with Vogue that she loved the hidden charm of the piece, saying, “I like to think it made her smile. The little secret in the piece.”
