‘Peaky Blinders’ Creator Steven Knight Says Upcoming Movie ‘Won’t Be the End’
The next ‘Peaky Blinders’ film, which was written by Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper, who also handled three of the show’s episodes, just wrapped up filming. In addition to Tim Roth, Rebecca Ferguson, Stephen Graham, and Barry Keoghan, Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Tommy Shelby. The movie takes place during World War II, albeit the exact date of its release has not yet been announced. Knight has stated his enthusiasm for the project, calling it an “explosive chapter” in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ narrative and guaranteeing a gripping depiction of the gang at war. He underlined that since the nation and the ‘Peaky Blinders’ are embroiled in the war, there will be intense, unrestrained action in the movie.
Knight made hints about a possible spinoff series with a fresh generation of characters once filming was finished. In response to inquiries concerning the ‘Peaky Blinders’ franchise’s future, Knight reassured viewers that the film will not be the last instalment in the series. He hinted at further developments while confirming that the movie will be out in around a year.
