Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage take on the roles of twin brothers embarking on a wild, high-stakes mission in their new film ‘Brothers’.

Released on 17th September, the first trailer for the Prime Video movie showcases Brolin, 56, and Dinklage, 55, as twins from a notorious family of criminals who reunite for a final heist. Along the way, they also cross paths with their estranged mother, played by Glenn Close.

Brendan Fraser makes an appearance in the trailer, portraying a menacing figure who pressures Dinklage's character, Mike, into returning a set of valuable emeralds. Through Mike’s narration, we learn that he and his brother Moke (Brolin) have a history of scheming together. However, after Moke's marriage, he distances himself from crime—until Mike draws him back in.

The plot thickens when the brothers unexpectedly reconnect with their long-lost mother. Together, they form a plan to pull off a $4 million score, setting the stage for plenty of action, laughs, and family drama. The film, directed by Max Barbakow (‘Palm Springs’) and penned by Macon Blair (‘The Toxic Avenger’), features a star-studded cast, including Marisa Tomei, Taylour Paige, M. Emmet Walsh, and Jennifer Landon.

Barbakow described working with the ensemble cast as a thrilling experience, telling Entertainment Weekly, "It’s like having a team of legendary actors who were all eager to dive into something fun and quirky. It’s quite the adventure."

The official synopsis teases a road trip filled with bullets, law enforcement, and the brothers' overbearing mother. Along the way, they must mend their fractured family ties before their differences destroy them.

‘Brothers’ hits select theatres on 10th October, before streaming on Prime Video on 17th October. For Brolin, it marks his second major role in 2024 following ‘Dune: Part Two’ and his appearance in season two of ‘Outer Range’. For Dinklage, it's his third film of the year, after ‘Unfrosted’ and ‘The Thicket’.
