Pharrell Is Asking For Justice For His Cousin, Donovon

Pharrell took to his social media to ask for transparency, honesty and justice regarding the recent death of his cousin, Donovon. The incident has bought many of his fans and of course the singer‘s family into questioning the system, once again.

Pharrell revealed in his recent post that his cousin, Donovon was killed following a series of shootings in Virginia Beach in the US. Surely, Donovon woke up on the wrong side of the bed on March 26th as a police officer pulled the trigger on him.

Pharrell says, “The loss of these lives is a tragedy beyond measure. My cousin Donovon was killed during the shootings. He was a bright light and someone who always showed up for others. It is critical my family and the other victims’ families get the transparency, honesty and justice they deserve. Virginia Beach is the epitome of hope and tenacity and, as a community, we will get through this and come out even stronger.”

Many other artists close to Pharrell also commented on the post to pay their condolences. This includes The Weeknd, Swiss Beatz, Kenya Barris and more.

The Report Of The Incident!

According to the reports, Donovan was shot by a police offer on the 26th of March amid a series of three separate shootings in the area. A total of two deaths and eight people were injured during the whole chaotic shootings. The officer involved has been questioned and also, an officer who witnessed the incident has been interviewed.

This case has also created a lot of controversies, apparently, the officer who shot Donovon was wearing a body camera. The reasons for this action is unknown and surely, something that Pharrell must be doubting, as well.
