Pink Gives Daughter Willow a Pep Talk in DNC Footage: “Just do Your Thing”

Pink shared a glimpse of her Summer Carnival Tour, including a special stop at the Democratic National Convention. The singer and her daughter Willow took the stage together, performing the 2017 hit ‘What About Us’ before Vice President Kamala Harris delivered her historic nomination acceptance speech.

Before stepping on stage, Pink gave her daughter a heartfelt pep talk, saying, “Just do your thing. Whatever you don’t sing, I will.” This moment of encouragement showcased their close bond as they prepared to perform together.

Pink assured Willow it would be brilliant, and moments later, they confidently walked out to the cheering crowd. Pink shared the behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram, captioning the carousel with, “It’s been a busy few weeks 😮‍💨😎.” 

This isn’t the first time Willow has joined her mother on stage; the duo previously performed their single ‘Cover Me in Sunshine’ during the first night of Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour, shortly after Willow’s 12th birthday.

Pink is eager to see her daughter pursue her passions, whether in music or beyond. Willow, who has a love for musical theatre and dreams of performing on Broadway, also aspires to become a trauma surgeon. Pink proudly shared, “She’s got a voice, man. She’s a little bird… She’s rad.”

The singer revealed that Willow’s interest in the medical field was inspired by watching ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, demonstrating how her daughter is exploring diverse interests while growing up under the spotlight.
