Pink Reveals Daughter Willow Nailed 'Cover me in Sunshine' in One Take, Earning a New Nickname

Pink recently performed at the exclusive Rock4EB event, raising funds for research into epidermolysis bullosa, a rare skin condition. The intimate performance attracted many A-list celebrities, including Brad Pitt, Judd Apatow, and Kaley Cuoco. 

The ‘Try’ singer wasn’t alone on stage; she was joined by fellow You + Me musician Dallas Green, and her daughter Willow made a special appearance to close the show.As Pink introduced her final song, ‘Cover Me in Sunshine’, which features Willow, she shared a touching story about her daughter’s impressive first recording of the track. Pink joked about teaching herself GarageBand and being interrupted by Willow during what she considered a “phenomenal take.” Despite the interruption, Willow’s musical instinct shone through, leading to an unexpected recording session.

Willow, who is often seen supporting her mother at performances, was right by the stage, singing along to every one of Pink's songs. The teenager has shown a natural talent for music, much to the delight of her proud mother, who has often spoken about supporting Willow’s budding musical career.

In a light-hearted moment, Pink revealed that after offering Willow the chance to record on ‘Cover Me in Sunshine’, the young star effortlessly nailed the track in just one take. Pink jokingly referred to her daughter as ‘One Take Willow’, noting how quickly she completed the session.

True to her laid-back style, Willow declined to do another take for safety, opting instead to go swimming after her swift success. Pink, clearly amused by her daughter’s confidence, shared the story with pride, proving that musical talent runs deep in their family.
