“A journey of celestial proportions awaits. Thanks for the incredible track @edsheeran,” the official UK account for the Nintendo franchise tweeted along with the teaser. The video clip introduces the games’ new starter Pokémon: Sprigatito, Quaxly and Fuecoco and the world of Paldea while Sheeran sings, “You make me feel/ Like my troubled heart is a million miles away/ You make me feel/ Like I’m drunk on stars and we’re dancing out into space/ celestial/ celestial.”

‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Pokémon Violet’ will both be available in stores later this month. Sheeran is already working diligently on the follow-up to his No. 1 album from 2021, = (Equals).

Sheeran became the first and only artist to have four albums chart inside the Official Albums Chart Top 10 for a whole year, hence setting a new chart record in his native U.K. The British hitmaker unveiled the Pokémon-themed song back in September by displaying his new Squirtle tattoo and recalling his childhood obsession with trade cards and video games in an Instagram post. The song’s charming music video shows Sheeran getting zapped out of bed by an animated Pikachu before stumbling into different Pokémon throughout the course of the day, including Slowpoke, Lapras, Machamp and Charizard.
