Psy Drops a High-Octane Performance Video for ‘Ganji,’ Featuring Jessi
Psy and Jessi have debuted a new performance video for ‘Ganji,’ a track off Psy’s recently released studio album.
The two musicians perform the song’s choreography in what appears to be the P Nation headquarters, moving between several sets such as a dance studio, conference room and lobby in the video for ‘Ganji,’ which was shot in portrait format. Psy and Jessi are joined by a group of backup dancers wearing red and white attire.
Psy’s ninth studio album, ‘Psy 9th,’ was released in late April and includes the song ‘Ganji.’ Prior to the album’s release, both Jessi and Psy spoke about the song’s creation, with the former saying that she had first turned down Psy’s offer.

Jessi remarked that she heard the music and the beat was so good. ‘Ganji’ means ‘swag’ in English. She also said that her stanza originally had more English lyrics, which were later removed at Psy’s request.
Psy’s new album has a slew of collaborators, including BTS’ Suga on the title track ‘That That,’ K-R&B singer-songwriter Crush on ‘Happier,’ Hwasa on ‘Now,’ Epik High’s Tablo, Heize, Sung Si-kyung and more.
Psy’s agency, P Nation, had also signed Jessi as the first artist when it opened in early 2019. While he contributed to many of her songs, including ‘Nunu Nana,’ ‘What Type of X’ and the most current ‘Zoom,’ ‘Ganji’ was the first time the two collaborated on a song.
