Psy Teases a Music Video For His New Single ‘Celeb,’ Which Features Bae Suzy
Psy has released a teaser for the music video for his new song ‘Celeb,’ which will include former Miss A member Bae Suzy. The bizarre video, which features both Bae and Psy executing bits of the song’s choreography in the middle of a Psy-themed amusement park, was released at midnight KST on 21st April.
“You so popular / Be my formula / May I call you a celeb?” Psy sings in English in the 20-second teaser.
‘Celeb’ is taken from Psy’s impending ninth full-length album, ‘Psy 9th,’ which will be his first since a five-year hiatus from the music industry. The single, as well as the album, will be released on 29th April at 6 p.m. KST.
‘Celeb’ and its music video were first premiered in person nearly three years ago at Psy’s ‘Summer Swag 2019’ concert, where it was disclosed that the song was co-written and composed by Psy and rapper Zico. However, the inclusion of “Celeb” in “Psy 9th” will be the first official release of the song.
‘Celeb’ is the latest track from the upcoming album to be released, following ‘Happier,’ which features K-R&B artist Crush, and a cover of Jermaine Jackson and Pia Zadora’s 1984 hit single ‘When The Rain Begins To Fall,’ which features MAMAMOO member Hwasa. Psy will also collaborate with Tablo from Epik High, Heize, Sung Si-kyung and more.
