Rachel Zegler Becomes an Animal Whisperer in First Look at ‘Snow White’ Poster
After finally getting a glimpse of the ‘Snow White’ trailer last weekend, Disney has treated fans to the first poster for the highly anticipated live-action adaptation. The story focuses on the titular character, played by Rachel Zegler, who falls under a curse after crossing paths with the Evil Queen, portrayed by Gal Gadot. The movie is set to hit theaters on 21st March, 2025.
The ‘Snow White’ poster is exactly what fans would expect from the adaptation—vibrant and enchanting. It features Snow White at the center, surrounded by woodland animals, likely drawn to her mesmerizing singing voice. In the background, we see the dwarves’ cottage, where she will seek refuge after being banished from her kingdom. The poster captures the magic and wonder that Disney’s live-action films are known for.

Even though this week has been filled with exciting ‘Snow White’ reveals, details about how Disney will adapt the story remain scarce. Recent live-action remakes have given villains more complex backstories and transformed Disney princesses into stronger, more independent characters. However, we’ll have to wait for the full trailer to get more hints about the direction of this adaptation.
Despite its seemingly innocent tone, ‘Snow White’ might surprise audiences with its depth. The screenplay is co-written by Greta Gerwig, who brought a fresh perspective to ‘Barbie’ in the billion-dollar 2023 film, and Erin Cressida Wilson, known for her edgy, female-led stories like ‘Chloe’, ‘The Girl on the Train’, and ‘Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus’. Directed by Marc Webb, known for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ films, the movie promises to offer a unique take on the classic tale.

‘Snow White’ joins the growing list of successful Disney live-action adaptations. Later this year, fans can look forward to ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, and in 2025, ‘Moana’ and ‘Lilo & Stitch’ will also make their live-action debuts.
