Red Hot Chili Peppers to Perform an Intimate Gig at New York’s Apollo Theater

Red Hot Chili Peppers have shared details for an intimate performance at New York’s famed Apollo Theater that will take place next month.
The rock group is now headlining at stadiums and festivals all throughout North America as part of their tour.
The band will head off to New York on 13th September for a one-off performance at the 1,500-person venue in between other travelling commitments. The private, invitation-only gig, which is a part of SiriusXM’s Small Stage Series, will mark the unveiling of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ exclusive music channel on the radio network.
A press release states that the set list will feature fan favourites, chart-topping tunes and brand-new songs from their most recent album, ‘Unlimited Love’. By tuning into the Whole Lotta Red Hot channel on the SXM app and keeping an eye out for a pop-up message, fans may enter to win tickets. On 29th August, the giveaway will be available until 11 a.m. ET.
“During our long-standing relationship with the Apollo Theater, SiriusXM has brought many of music’s most significant artists to their historic stage for the very first time, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are no exception,” SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein said in a statement.
“The Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the most definitive bands in rock music that continue to innovate the genre with their musical craftsmanship and we are honoured to present them as they make their debut at the Apollo Theater. This is shaping up to be a September to remember for SiriusXM subscribers.”
Chili Peppers’ new SiriusXM channel will stream the concert live, with many rebroadcasts in the days after the performance, for anyone who can’t make it to the intimate show.
The band surprised fans in July by revealing information about another new album that will be released just six months after the release of ‘Unlimited Love’. On 14th October, ‘Return Of The Dream Canteen’, another Rick Rubin production, will be made available.
