Rihanna’s ‘Savage X Fenty Vol. 3’ Trailer Released
Rihanna gives us a glimpse of the high life in the official trailer for her Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 3, which she unveiled on September 21st.
As Rihanna takes an elevator straight to the highest point of a skyscraper, models take their own glamorous rides to the top before taking over the town until the grand helipad finale at dawn in the minute-long trailer. The teaser video is sound-tracked by Helena’s “Do It to ‘Em.”
The third part of her Savage x Fenty fashion shows will debut ahead of Rihanna’s new lingerie collection exclusively on September 24th, on Amazon Prime Video, so the Navy stationed in more than 240 countries and territories can tune in from around the world. The billionaire mogul served as the executive producer and creative director of Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3.
Some of the performers were Nas, Daddy Yankee, BIA, Jazmine Sullivan, Ricky Martin, Normani, and Jade Novah. More special appearances included, Erykah Badu, Troye Sivan, Sabrina Carpenter, Vanessa Hudgens and more.
The 33-year-old icon has been teasing the video documenting her latest lingerie extravaganza for weeks now—most recently in the form a confidently sultry photo captioned “my mood after handing in the final cut.”
The show is set to take the multi-faceted form of a part-concert, part-runway performance. Just like the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows of yore, it’s also pure commercial—though even without the Rihanna factor, it’s been easy to forget as much when the musical performers include Rosalía, Bad Bunny, and Normani. Rihanna is now one of just two designers who’ve ever been able to convince Lola Leon, Madonna’s elusive 24-year-old daughter, to grace their runway—or the futuristic set that also plays host to Gigi Hadid, Thuso Mbedu, Troye Sivan, Emily Ratajkowski, and Precious Lee.
