Rihanna Says That She Wore Pearls and Shades While Giving Birth
Rihanna recently shared that she gave birth while wearing pearls and sunglasses, making the revelation in a social media post over the weekend in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The singer, actress, and business mogul posted two images taken shortly after giving birth, showing her in a hospital bed with her children. In the photos, she was adorned with pearls and pink sunglasses. Reflecting on the moment, she described it as the most powerful experience she had ever had as a woman and referred to her children as her “little miracles.”

In one image, Rihanna was seen holding her son RZA, wearing multiple gold and pearl necklaces. Another picture captured her with her second child, Riot Rose, nestled against her chest in a hospital bed while she wore pink sunglasses. In her caption, she acknowledged that she had, indeed, given birth in pearls and sunglasses but advised against further questions, explaining that a lot was happening at the time.
Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky, have two children together. The couple, who began dating in early 2021, welcomed RZA in 2022. Rihanna later revealed her second pregnancy during her 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, and Riot Rose was born later that year.

According to CNN, Rihanna mentioned in an interview with Interview Magazine in April that she and Rocky had not explicitly discussed starting a family before it happened, but she described it as the best thing that ever happened to them.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has recently spoken about her music, stating that Anti is the only album of hers that she can listen to without feeling any regret. Her comments have fuelled speculation about a possible follow-up to the 2016 record. Although details remain scarce, she has hinted that the new project will defy expectations.
Beyond music, Rihanna has also been confirmed as a lead voice actor in the upcoming Smurfs film and is rumoured to be preparing for a major world tour.
