Known for being a style icon, Rihanna frequently draws attention with her daring and unorthodox wardrobe selections. The founder of Savage x Fenty, who was named a 2014 CFDA Fashion Icon, is sometimes likened to literary characters because of her avant-garde fashion sense.
At the Pandora-sponsored 2024 Fashion Awards, Rihanna turned heads with her eye-catching furry Christian Lacroix coat and matching cap. Because of the outfit's whimsical texture and colour, fans couldn't help but compare it to Cookie Monster, the well-known blue Muppet. She seemed to be dressed in a black bustier and lace skirt underneath the coat, with opera gloves, sheer tights, and sparkling diamond jewellery as accessories. The glitz was heightened by her delicate curl half-up and glossy ombré lip.

Although other admirers believed she was channelling Cookie Monster or compared her appearance to ‘Monsters Inc.' James P. Sullivan, this isn't the first time Rihanna's furry attire has provoked amusing comparisons. People started comparing her to Oscar the Grouch from ‘Sesame Street’ in 2015 after she wore a green Versace costume at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Other fluffy items she's worn over the years have been compared to characters like McDonald's Grimace and Gossamer from ‘Looney Tunes’.
Fans will probably continue to like this as Rihanna's style develops because it appears like the internet is quick to make character-inspired connections whenever she wears fuzzy couture.
