Rob Lowe Reveals Brief Romance With Demi Moore: ‘Hookups Are Inevitable’

Rob Lowe has opened up about a brief romantic connection with Demi Moore during their time in Hollywood, shedding light on their chemistry that transcended the screen. In a recent episode of Kelly Ripa’s podcast, the actor discussed the dynamic he shared with Moore, particularly in their 1986 film ‘About Last Night’. This film, where they portrayed a couple navigating the complexities of love and commitment after a few dates, remains one of Lowe’s personal favourites.

Ripa, an avid fan of the film, praised the chemistry between the two actors, prompting Lowe to reminisce about their collaboration.

He stated, “Of all the stuff I did in the ’80s, if I had to pick one, it would for sure be ‘About Last Night’.” The film, along with their earlier project ‘St. Elmo’s Fire’, solidified both Lowe and Moore’s status as members of the iconic ‘Brat Pack’, a group of young stars that defined a generation of cinema.

As the conversation delved deeper, Ripa inquired whether there were any romantic feelings during their time together.

Lowe elaborated on the nature of young Hollywood, stating, “Look, anytime you put young 20-something men and women together, hookups are inevitable.” This candid reflection highlights the often tumultuous yet passionate world of young stars navigating fame and relationships.

Despite their brief romance, Lowe believes the themes of ‘About Last Night’ still resonate with audiences today. He noted that the film addressed important questions about friendships formed in youth and their longevity as adulthood approaches.
