Roger Waters Shares Performance Of Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd‘s debut album ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’, former member Roger Waters delighted fans with a live version of the band’s record ‘Time.’
On July 31, 2020, the former vocalist and bass player of rock band Pink Floyd took to YouTube to release a version of the hit song that we’ve all been clamoring for. The live video of the hit song from the band’s album ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ is a part of the musician’s 2019 concert film, “Us + Them.”
Fans are taken on a trip down memory road with the performance video featuring all the things that made ‘Time’ the hit song that it was. The video begins with stellar visuals of multiple clocks moving and rotating in every direction. Along with these graphics, the famous starting riff of this Pink Floyd banger reminds us why exactly we fell in love with the tune in the first place.
During the shows, Roger Waters‘ rocked to songs from legendary Pink Floyd albums like “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, “The Wall”, “Animals” and “Wish You Were Here.” Over two million fans over the world were treated to these shows through a live stream.
“Us+Them” Film By Roger Waters
The Roger Waters’ concert film, “Us + Them” is directed by Sean Evans. The project features stunning performances of footage from the musician’s performances at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam from June 18-23, 2018.
The film is currently available on 4K, HD, SD Digital, and Video On Demand. Roger Waters has also announced that the mini-film will become available via Blu-ray and DVD by October 2, 2020. Lucky for us, a companion soundtrack will also be released on a 2-CD and vinyl package through Sony on the same date.
When asked to comment on the film, Roger Waters said, “Us + Them is a call to action. Homo sapiens stand at a crossroads – we can either pool our love, develop our capacity to empathise with others, and act collectively for the good of our planet, or we can remain Comfortably Numb, and continue, like blind lemmings, on our current omnicidal death march towards extinction.”
