Rosé of BLACKPINK Achieves Highest Chart Position for a Female K-Pop Artist on Billboard Hot 100 With ‘APT.’
BLACKPINK vocalist and solo artist Rosé has achieved her highest entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with her new single ‘APT.’ featuring Bruno Mars. Released on October 18, ‘APT.’ entered the chart at Number 8 for the week ending November 2, making Rosé the first female K-pop artist to reach the Top 10 on this chart. This achievement surpasses BLACKPINK’s 2020 hit ‘Ice Cream’ with Selena Gomez, which peaked at Number 13.

This marks Rosé’s second solo appearance on the Billboard Hot 100; her 2021 debut single ‘On The Ground’ previously reached Number 70. For Mars, ‘APT.’ is his 20th Top 10 hit on the Hot 100 chart.
Additionally, ‘APT.’ debuted at Number 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. With 224.5 million streams, the song now holds the second-largest streaming week in Global 200 history, following BTS’s 2021 hit ‘Butter.’
‘APT.’ was released on October 18 as the lead track from Rosé’s forthcoming solo album, ‘rosie,’ which will be out in December. This is also her first project with The Black Label and Atlantic Records, following her departure from long-time agency YG Entertainment.
Meanwhile, fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie also made a solo return earlier this month with her single ‘Mantra,’ her first release under her own label Odd Atelier and Columbia Records.
