Director Shawn Levy thinks Ryan Gosling will be a fantastic addition to the ‘Star Wars’ universe, and it's hard not to agree!
Speaking at the Broadway premiere of ‘ Stranger Things: The First Shadow’, Levy, who is directing ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’, expressed his enthusiasm for Gosling's role in the future movie.
According to him, it's obvious to include Ryan Gosling in a film if the opportunity arises, since it immediately improves the whole production. Levy, 56, expressed his excitement about fusing the ‘Star Wars’ universe with Ryan Gosling's signature coolness.
He said he was especially thrilled by the unusual fusion of Gosling's enthusiasm with the ‘Star Wars’ aesthetic, which he has never seen before and thinks would introduce something new to the galaxy far, far away.

Levy confirmed a long-running rumour at the ‘Star Wars’ Celebration event in Tokyo: Ryan Gosling will be appearing in ‘Starfighter’. He told the crowd that it had been exciting to learn about the rumour firsthand and that he is now happy to confirm that it is entirely accurate.
Set several years after ‘Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker’, the movie will be a stand-alone narrative. Levy defined it as a new adventure that preserves the essence of the original ‘Star Wars’ while venturing into uncharted terrain, rather than a prequel or sequel. The story takes place in a sector of the universe that fans haven't yet seen on screen, he clarified.

Gosling is the only cast member confirmed thus far, but narrative elements are yet unknown. The movie takes place in the years after the pivotal Battle of Exegol, when the Resistance overcame the Sith and ended the First Order's rule.
