Ryan Reynolds Reveals New Insight into Taylor Swift’s Role as Godmother to His and Blake Lively’s Kids
Cinderella’s Godmother now is not in the scene—The most famous person in town is now the godmother of Ryan Reynolds’ children. Reynolds, 48, talked candidly in a recent interview with Deadline about his close friend Taylor Swift serving as his children’s godmother. Swift first revealed their relationship this year when she shared a review of Reynolds’ film ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. In a joyful reference to Reynolds’ character Wade Wilson, Swift wrote, “Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sp*rm donor!” as the description for her image.
Reynolds joked to Deadline that he would love to have that statement engraved on his gravestone after giving the post some thought. Additionally, he affirmed Swift’s role as a godparent, calling it “sweet” and maybe lucrative. Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, have four adorable children: a son named Olin, born in early 2023, and girls James, Inez, and Betty, ages 9, 7, and 4.

This fall Reynolds and Lively took their daughter James to Swift’s performance in New Orleans. Lively was shown kindly escorting James, who had glistening golden hair, into the venue in a TikTok video. Swift’s rendition of ‘Betty,’ which featured the names of each of their daughters, was enjoyed by the family in another video.
Fan videos later showed Lively and her girls dancing and singing along to Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ during a performance in Madrid. Swift played guitar during the concert and made a special reference to Lively’s children, calling them by name.
