RZA’s foray into classical music was sparked during the pandemic when he unearthed old notebooks from his teenage years. These lyrical relics, filled with memories and emotions from his youth, became the foundation for his orchestral narrative. Reflecting on this discovery, RZA shares, “I found old emotions that inspired me to expand my storytelling in a new way.”

The project also coincided with the second season of his TV series, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, adding to the creative whirlwind he found himself in. This period of reflection and creativity led RZA to fuse his past experiences with his present artistic ambitions, culminating in ‘A Ballet Through Mud’.

RZA’s transition from hip-hop beats to classical compositions showcases his versatility as an artist, proving that his creative journey is far from over. As he continues to evolve, RZA remains committed to pushing the boundaries of his musical expression, embracing new challenges and genres along the way.
