Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz Shine Holding Hands on WSJ Innovator Awards

As they walked the red carpet for WSJ. Magazine’s 14th Annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art, Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz illuminated New York City. The 58 and 50-year-old ‘Bandidas’ co-stars each brought their own distinct style to the event as they linked hands and grinned for the cameras. Hayek shined in a striking red dress with a structured waist and no straps, while Cruz dazzled in a sleek, silver gown with a draped neckline and a high slit that showed off her strappy heels.

Ariana Grande, Aubrey Plaza, Cynthia Erivo, Reese Witherspoon, Deacon Phillippe, Emily Ratajkowski, and Sarah Paulson were among the celebrities who attended the event alongside the actresses.

Hayek, who is presently appearing in Angelina Jolie’s thriller ‘Without Blood’, which is based on the 2002 novel by Alessandro Baricco, recently lauded Jolie’s directing abilities and called the filming process “transformative.” She told PEOPLE that Jolie’s support and compassion on set enabled her to reach new heights in her acting, describing it as a “life-changing experience.”

In addition, Hayek considered their changing dynamic, pointing out that Jolie adopted a caring position in ‘Without Blood’ when she had been a maternal figure to her in their first partnership, Eternals. According to Hayek, Jolie balanced effectiveness and emotional support on set by fostering a family-like environment.

Additionally, earlier this month, Hayek shared sentimental family images on Instagram to commemorate her stepson Augustin “Augie” James’ 18th birthday.
