Sam Smith And Kim Petras Collaborate on The Catchy New Tune, ‘Unholy’

Sam Smith and Kim Petras have worked together on a brand-new song, ‘Unholy’. The intense, synth-heavy duet serves as the lead track from Smith’s upcoming fourth studio album.

Smith said that ‘Unholy’ was recorded in Jamaica and was one of the most magnificent creative experiences he has ever had as an artist. He enjoyed recording the album.

Throwing out the rulebook and experimenting in this way was incredibly liberating and exhilarating for Smith. According to him, working alongside Kim and getting to see her talent has also been a privilege. This song is about breaking free from the bonds of other people’s secrets.

Petras, meanwhile, said she’s “such a big fan” of Smith. “It is cool to meet another artist who is a really good writer and has a vision that’s their own,” she added. “I had the best time in the studio with them.

“They really believed in me and encouraged me to be totally myself. I feel so honoured that they chose me to be on this song.”

‘Unholy’ had its BBC Radio 1 debut as ‘Clara Amfo’s Hottest Record In The World.’ Check out the video above to see Smith perform a solo live rendition of the tune for the station.

Smith’s upcoming studio album’s specifics, such as its release date, track listing and cover art are still unknown. ‘Love Goes,’ his third and most recent full-length album, was released in October 2020.

Smith has also revealed two gigs at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the following month. He planned to perform some of his greatest hits, as well as some brand-new songs from his upcoming album.
