Sam Smith Dazzles in Acoustic Version of ‘Diamonds’
British pop star, Sam Smith, officially kicked off a brand new era in music a while ago. And, in the run up to their brand new studio album, “Love Goes”, the singer-songwriter released a few featuring singles. One being the latest dance pop hit, ‘Diamonds’. The track followed the release of ‘My Oasis’ featuring Burna Boy. Now, ‘Diamonds’ details the end of a relationship based on material love.
And, in the lead up to the final album release, Sam treated fans with a gritty, entirely acoustic version of the track. The star released a video recording of the special rendition. It featured them sitting in a cozy studio, singing to an acoustic guitar. What’s more – this version allows Smith’s raw and powerful vocals to shine through, stripped of all the synth-pop hooks in the original. Further, Smith shows off their vocal abilities, adding new runs to the acoustic version.
Sam Smith, who took a break from music for a while, kicked 2020 off with a bang. The star joined hands with Demi Lovato, and released ‘I’m Ready’, which continues its reign of music charts world over. In addition, they released solo singles, ‘To Die For’, ‘How Do You Sleep’, and ‘Diamonds’. Further, “Love Goes” marks Smith’s third studio album, and is slated for release on the 30th of October.
