Sam Smith & Renee Zellwegger’s ‘Judy’ biopic is delightful!

Sam Smith is working on the new Judy Garland biopic ‘Judy’, starring Renee Zellwegger. The film opens on September 27 and here’s what Smith had to say about the whole project,“It was truly an honour to sing with Renee. Nobody could have played Judy as well as Renee, and it’s a career highlight for me to be singing with her, and in some small way, with Judy. I hope everyone loves the film as much as I did.”
Well, Smith has nothing to worry about because the reviews are in, and it looks like the film is a hit! Zellweger and Sam Smith unveiled their new duet of the Harold Arlen and Ted Koehler’s classic ‘Get Happy,’ most famously performed by Garland herself.
Taking place in the final years of the iconic singer’s life, ‘Judy’ follows Garland’s five-week residency at London’s Talk of the Town as she continues to find conflict with her management team, reunite with old friends and even begin a relationship with her soon-to-be fifth husband Mickey Deans.
