‘Practical Magic 2’ Set For a Fall 2026 Release

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are joining forces! ‘Practical Magic 2’ is just one step closer to getting released, showcasing our favourites Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock.
The eagerly anticipated follow-up to Warner Bros.’ 1998 witchy love movie will finally hit theatres on 18th September, 2026, the company announced. This news follows Kidman’s announcement in an interview with PEOPLE less than a year ago that Nicole Kidman and Bullock will return to their legendary roles of sisters Gillian and Sally Owens.
To honour the day for fans, Warner Bros. posted a special video on Instagram in which Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock’s voices yell a mysterious rhyme. With the return of both Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, the post exuberantly announced that ‘Practical Magic 2’ is prepared to perform its magic. Ahead of the release of the sequel, fans were reminded that the original film is presently available for streaming on Max, making it the ideal moment to rewatch.
Based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 book, ‘Practical Magic’s sequel will follow the story of sisters Gillian and Sally Owens as they battle a family curse that kills the men they fall in love with. In order to lift the curse and take back control of their romantic lives, the two women band together.

One producer, Denise Di Novi, clarified that the team is aware of the significance of the first film for viewers, especially women. She stressed that the concepts of acceptance, family, and sisterhood that made the first film so cherished will be honoured in the follow-up. Reminding viewers that magic may be found in ordinary life, ‘Practical Magic’ evolved beyond a single movie to become a part of the lingo.
Along with Goran Visnjic, Aidan Quinn, and Evan Rachel Wood, Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest gave excellent performances as the sisters’ aunts in the original film. Bullock’s first big-screen appearance since 2022 will be in ‘Practical Magic 2’. She will also reteam with ‘Speed’ co-star Keanu Reeves for an upcoming romantic thriller.
