Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost Reveal They’re Going to a Restaurant for Thanksgiving for the First Time

This Thanksgiving, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are choosing to leave the cooking to the pros. On the recent November broadcast of ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’, the actress said that they will be dining out rather than hosting at home for the first time. Johansson clarified that although she enjoys cooking, the cleanup—especially the dishes—is the true problem, which she and her father-in-law typically undertake together. “I don’t want anyone to feel under pressure to clean up after the meal,” she said.

Johansson, who was advertising her skincare line The Outset, thanked her family for the chance to eat at a restaurant. She added that a huge reservation would be needed for the dinner because both she and Colin come from large families. Many family members, including parents and siblings, will be joining the couple, who have two children from Johansson’s previous marriage: a 10-year-old daughter named Rose Dorothy and a 3-year-old son named Cosmo.

Johansson joked with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, the co-hosts, that the pair might play trivia at the restaurant because they won’t be cooking or cleaning. In addition to recalling a funny incident from a prior Thanksgiving when Jost’s dessert fell short of her expectations, Johansson also reflected on past Thanksgiving mistakes. Jost joked about the pie he made her during his appearance on ‘Beat Bobby Flay’, stating that it was not a multi-day endeavour as she had jokingly stated.
