Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey Unveil ‘New Era’ of Dinosaurs in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Photos

It’s time to return to Jurassic World!

On 29th August, Universal Pictures gave fans a glimpse of their upcoming film, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, which stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. The studio released the movie’s logo, a snippet of the film’s theme music, and several photos from the set. One photo features Johansson and Bailey’s characters in tall grass, while another shows Ali’s character holding a flare and shouting.

The Instagram post announces, “A new era is born. #JurassicWorldRebirth,” and the official synopsis reveals that the movie is set five years after *Jurassic World Dominion*.

 It describes a world where dinosaurs are largely confined to isolated equatorial regions, and the largest of these creatures are central to a groundbreaking drug with potential life-saving benefits.

Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert leading a team on a secret mission to obtain genetic material from the world’s three largest dinosaurs. The plot thickens when her mission intersects with a civilian family stranded on an island after an attack by aquatic dinosaurs. They soon uncover a long-hidden, shocking secret.

Directed by Gareth Edwards (known for ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’) and written by David Koepp, the original screenwriter of ‘Jurassic Park’, the film promises an exciting new chapter in the franchise. 

Johansson, a longtime fan of the series, expressed her enthusiasm in a June interview, saying she’s thrilled to be part of the franchise and would have taken any role, even a brief one.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ is set to hit theaters in July 2025.
