Sebastian Stan Reveals Hilarious Text From Anthony Mackie After ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast News

Sebastian Stan received a playful text from a well-known Marvel co-star following the announcement of the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ cast.
Stan, 42, revealed a humorous conversation he had with Anthony Mackie, his co-star from ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, during a press event for his most recent movie, ‘Thunderbolts’. Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson/The Falcon, sent him a cheerful message to greet him. In response to Stan’s question about how Mackie was doing, Mackie promptly inquired as to where Stan would be staying after he got there. When Stan acknowledged that he still didn’t have a place, Mackie made fun of him for being so evasive.
Stan and Mackie have worked together on Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) productions since 2014’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’ For the Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ in 2021, they got back together. By the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ Wilson has officially taken over the role of Captain America following the events of that film.

In a recent chat with Variety, Stan shared the exciting news that he’ll be making a brief cameo in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’. He joked that it was much calmer without seeing Mackie regularly and added that he had been busy filming ‘Thunderbolts’ for the previous year. Despite his reluctance to acknowledge it, he acknowledged that he misses his friend nearly every day.
When Stan reflected on his work on ‘Thunderbolts’, he told PEOPLE that the cast’s camaraderie gave him confidence that the film would succeed. They had to find their on-set chemistry as a new cast of characters who hadn’t previously spent much screen time together, but he valued how candid and cooperative everyone was.
On 2nd May, 2025, ‘Thunderbolts’ will be released in theatres.
