Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Take Wedding Planning One Day at a Time While Releasing New Album

Instead of hurrying through the wedding planning process, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are taking their time and living in the present.

 The recently engaged couple talked candidly about their love, their impending joint album, ‘I Said I Love You First’, and their impending nuptials in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.  Blanco revealed that Gomez frequently imagines various wedding situations in her mind, but she also underlined that they both like to be in the moment and avoid making snap decisions.  He pointed out that Gomez was still soaking up the thrill and couldn't stop staring at her engagement ring during the conversation.

Gomez said that although she is thinking about the wedding, her immediate priorities are their new song.  She characterized this moment as tremendously special, allowing them to pour their emotions and personal experiences into the record and share that with the world.

 In December 2024, Blanco proposed to Gomez on a romantic, laid-back picnic that included their favourite fast food, Taco Bell.  He gave her a gorgeous oval ring that was set with a huge marquise diamond that weighed an estimated six carats.  For them, the moment's simplicity felt authentic to their relationship.  Blanco emphasized that their life together isn’t about large, grandiose gestures but about enjoying regular times surrounded by nice people.

Looking back on their lengthy friendship—he's known her since she was eighteen—Blanco acknowledged that he occasionally wishes he had gotten acquainted sooner.  However, he also thinks that their timing was ideal, enabling them to lay the groundwork for something genuine.

 Regarding their forthcoming album, which is scheduled for release on 21st March, Gomez talked about how collaborating with Blanco inspired her to create again after she felt disoriented and unsure of her creative path.  Blanco encouraged her to write songs based on her thoughts, which she regarded as a very healing experience.  He frequently had a pen ready when she woke up, assisting her in writing down whatever was on her mind and transforming it into music, which they both found to be immensely therapeutic.
