While she acknowledged her growing interest in film and TV, she hinted at shifting her focus more toward those areas in the future.

Gomez shared that she felt she had accomplished everything she set out to do in music. She explained that, while she’s proud of her past projects, she feels like she’s only just begun her journey in film and TV. She expressed excitement about the idea of having to earn her place in this new field and her love for storytelling, indicating that she’s eager to explore more opportunities in that realm.

When asked about her music career, Gomez clarified that although she had taken a brief pause, music was not disappearing from her life. She mentioned that she had “set it down for a second” but emphasized that music was still very much a part of her future plans. She also shared that acting gives her more “sanity” compared to music, as it allows her to avoid being too personal all the time.

Regarding the possibility of a new album, Gomez suggested that she would love to discuss it if she had one. She explained that she has enjoyed focusing on her acting career lately, but left the door open for future music projects, adding that one never knows what could happen.

Her co-star from Emilia Perez, Zoe Saldaña, expressed hope that Gomez would continue to make and release music in the future.
